- Zimmer acquires ORTHSoft Inc

- Zimmer acquires Endius Inc.

2006

- First surgery with Dynardi® Lumbar Artificial Disc.
- Launch of HRC Locking CageTM ALIF, a PEEK-OPTIMA® Spacer manufactured by
 Eurospine, France.
- Distribution of OPTIMATM ZS top loading Pedicle Screw System, manufacturer by U & I
 Corp., Korea.

2005

- Introduction of Trinica® Select Anterior Cervical Plate System.
- Introduction of Trabecular MetalTM Technology for Interbody Fusion Devices.

2004

- Zimmer completes acquisition of Implex Corp. and receives the worldwide distribution
  right for Trabecular Metal TM Technology.
- Zimmer GmbH introduces Dynesys® LIS (Less Invasive Surgery).

2003

- Zimmer acquires Centerpulse AG.

2002

- Centerpulse receives distribution right for HRC Locking CageTM PLIF and Cervical, a
 PEEK-OPTIMA® Spacer manufactured by Eurospine, France.
- Centerpulse receives distribution right for PASSmedTM, a Polyaxial Lateral Offset
 System, manufacturer by Médicréa, France.
- Sulzer Medica changes name to Centerpulse.
- Launch of AllospineTM anterior Pedicle Screw System.

2001

Sulzer Medica announces the Spin-off from Sulzer.

2000

Introduction of Silhouette®, a top loading Pedicle Screw System.

1999

- BAK® Interbody Fusion System portfolio is expanded for a lateral approach called
 POLArTM.
- European market introduction of Dynesys® Dynamic Stabilisation System.

1998

- Sulzer Medica launches Cervi-Lok®, an anterior cervical Plate System.
- Sulzer Medica acquires Spine Tech Inc., Minneapolis, USA and receives the exclusive
 distribution rights for BAK® Interbody Fusion System in Europe.

1997

- Company goes public.
- Merger between AlloPro and Protek to Sulzer Orthopedics, a company of Sulzer
 Medica.

1996

Collaboration with Orthosoft Inc. for a Computer Aided Surgery (CAS) – System, called Navitrack®.

1995

AlloPro launches the Titanium iliac crest bone void filler.

1994

AlloPro launches the connector Pedicle Screw System Malaga (Allospine TM) System

1993

Protek begins development for a Nucleoplasty Device in collaboration with Prof. Husson.

1992

Protek begins development for a Dynamic Stabilisation System, today known as Dynesys®, in collaboration with Dr. Dubois.

1991

AlloPro launches their first Pedicle Screw System, called „Rodegerdts-System“, which had been developed in collaboration with Prof. Rodegerdts.

1958

Zimmer introduces the Harrington® Spinal Instrumentation for treatment of scoliosis.
