CopiOs™ Bone Void Filler

The moderately acidic composition of CopiOs Bone Void Filler (calcium phosphate, dibasic) creates an environment where an abundance of soluble mineral is available and osteoinductive BMP solubility is preserved. These features together with a porous collagen scaffold provide all the elements required to maximize the healing processes for bone production and maturation.

Growth-Enhancing Characteristics of CopiOs BVF

CopiOs BVF contains calcium phosphate dibasic (Dical). Unlike other bone void fillers, it contains no tricalcium phosphate or hydroyapatite.

Equilibrium solubility of Dical provides 300 times more soluble calcium than tricalcium phosphate and hyroxyapatite* (Fig. 1).

CopiOs

Because of its unique chemical properties, CopiOs BVF maintains an environment that promotes solubility of endogenous growth factors.  Thus, more soluble BMPs are available in the early stages of bone formation* (Fig. 2).
