The Dynesys L.I.S. instrumentation offers the surgeon numerous advantages. The procedure is a patient-friendly operating technique involving paraspinal intermuscular access between the longissimus and multifidus muscles. The most important advantages of the new surgical technique include reduced loss of blood, less injury to muscles and less scarring. The patient has the immediate postoperative benefit afforded by a less invasive intervention. Of course, the surgeon always has the possibility to use Dynesys L.I.S. instrumentation for conventional posterior access procedures. |
