With the Silhouette System the option is yours – one-step pre-assembled screw placement or early low-profile screw placement with the Silhouette SNAP technique.

The Silhouette polyaxialscrew comes pre-assembled, allowing placement of screw and polyaxial body in one easy step. And, when early placement of a low-profile screw is preferred, the Silhouette SNAP technique provides the needed flexibility.

In the Silhouette SNAP technique, simple removal of the polyaxial body results in a low-profile screw appropriate for placement while anatomic landmarks are still intact. 

The technique is a snap.

  • Remove the polyaxial body from the screw
  • Place the resulting low-profile screw
  • Perform the interbody procedure
  • Reattach the polyaxial body to the placed screw

The specially designed “Poly-Popper” instrument removes the polyaxial body with ease.

The Silhouette SNAP technique, used in PLIF and TLIF procedures allows:

  • Early screw placement while anatomic landmarks are still intact
  • Improved visualization and access during decompression and interbody preparation
  • Stable points for segmental distraction, resulting in easier discectomy and graft placement
  • Minimal muscular retraction during decortication and bone grafting
