Coldweld Technology

BacFix screws and hooks have preassembled tapered wedges for ease of construct assembly and final lock.

The coldweld taper lock technology provides superior locking strength and limits torque transfer for the spine.

Fewer Intraoperative Steps

BacFix is secured in two simple steps:

1. The rod is first introduced into the open wedge of the screw or hook, medially or laterally, with the rod popper.
   
2. The coldwelder is then used to lock the rod, implant and wedge interfaces to create the final taper lock.
