Nex-Link® Cervical Fixation System

Speed of assembly. Strength of construct.

Easy assembly

Enhanced compatability thoracolumbar fixation systems:

Java® Spinal Fixation System

InCompass® Spinal Fixation System

BacFix® Spinal Fixation System

The strength of the Nex-Link construct is derived from the sum of its parts:

  • Pure titanium rods for easier contouring
  • Polyaxial screw that offers a 65º range of motion

Independent lab results have demonstrated a four-fold improvement in axial grip testing and a two-fold improvement in flexion-extension resistance over baseline competitors.

Key Components

Primary and Rescue Polyaxial Screws

Single design, multiple lengths accommodate anatomic variation. The compact 9.5 mm diameter head is color coded for easy identification in OR.

65º ROM and 6 mm offset reduce need for rod contouring.

Large Diameter Screws

Enable bicortical purchase in larger patients, strengthening construct.

Compact, 9.5 mm, color coded head accepts 4.0 mm Nex-Link Rod, while 65º ROM and 6 mm offset reduce need for rod contouring.

Smooth Shank Screws

Designed to minimize irritation of vital elements. Features Nex-Link standard 65º ROM and 6 mm offset for less rod contouring, and a compact 9.5 mm diameter head.

Color coded for easy identification in OR.

Variable Transverse Connector

Adds 77% increase in torsional strength.

Newly updated one-piece design facilitates easier, faster implantation than previous transverse connectors.

Rod-to-Rod Connectors

Facilitate transition to Abbott Spine thoracolumbar fixation systems. Strong, single lock per rod reduces run on rod, enables transitions.

Laminar Hooks

The tapered blade snugs hook to lamina. An extended option helps reduce need for rod bending.
